Dr. Khagendra Sports Foundation (DKSF) is a Non-profit Voluntary Organization with a noble aim of extending all support and activities focused on sportsmen and players as well as sports activities. DKSF visualized different groups with its own specific objectives and priorities for focusing its activities. For this it is divided into three distinct groups. First is Provide, Promote, Participate and its objective is to produce healthy and disciplined citizens through the medium of sports as they get into the habit of playing and also abide within rules of games. Second is Identify, Encourage, Assist and its objective is to encourage and provide training to help them improve their performance and become better players. Last, but not least is Recognize, Appreciate, Support whose objective is to recognize and appreciate their performances, efforts and achievments as well as assist them in further improving their performance. DKSF’s motto is basically directed to sportsmen: “Acknowledge Sportsmen, Honor Sportsmen, Assist Sportsmen”.
Dr. Khagendra Sports Foundation:
This Foundation has divided the whole population into three groups as depicted in the “Vision and Mission” and is as given below:
DKSF has visualized each group with a purpose and aim in life. Government, Sports Council, Sports Associations, Sports Clubs, must direct or help to achieve the goal. For that matter all business and financial organizations, social organization, must also help us in this endeavour. Any group or individual must come forward and help in any way possible to achieve this goal. Each group; National and Top class players, Potential and Upcoming players and People of all ages and sects, countrywide should realize their purpose in life and feel responsible to work towards that purpose.
The status of national and Top class players do not last long. However they must remain healthy and able, help the junior players to develop their skills and improve their performance. They should receive rightful recognition and appreciation from the Government and other sectors and also support if needed.
Potential and Upcoming players are usually young and enthusiastic. They must further work harder and try to become a better player but at the same time they should not lose sight of future careers or professions. The concerned sports authorities should identify, encourage and assist them from an early level.
People of all ages and sectors, countrywide should play some games regularly which will help them to become not only healthy but also to develop discipline thus enabling them to be a law abiding citizen. In this area, all sectors; governments and privates – industrialists, bankers, schools and colleges, should help in providing sports facilities and promote and create an environment of participation.
Involvement in sports will develop not only good health but also a nationalistic feeling.
DKSF visualizes the different groups with its own specific objectives and priorities for focusing its activities. For this it is divided into three distinct groups. This can broadly be given by the caption chart below:
The heart shaped area group representing people of all age groups, genders and sects and countrywide should be provided with basic infrastructures like playgrounds, covered courts, etc. for various kinds of sports and promote them through clubs, tournaments and competitions and encourage them to participate in sports. The objective is to achieve and produce healthy and disciplined citizens through the medium of sports as they get into the habit of abiding within the rules of the games.
The remaining groups are divided into two subgroups – ’round area’ as Potential and upcoming players and ‘arrow-head area’ as National and top class players. Potential and upcoming players should be first identified which is possible through tournaments and competitions. Once they are identified, they should be encouraged and assisted by providing training and opportunities to participate in regional, national and international competitions. The objective is to help improve their performance and become better players. They should also commit to it. But meanwhile they should not lose sight of their future – in studies or profession. Top class and national players should be given due recognition and be appreciated and acclaimed for their effort and achievements for the country and given further assistance as required to maintain or improve their performance. Equally important, is not ignoring them once they fail to maintain their supremacy. On the contrary they must be given opportunity to see that they continue delivering their expertise in sports and also spend their future life securely and happily.
